Mini Van Conversion on a mini budget

Virtual teacher and caring mother, our client wanted a simple build that fit into a modest budget so she could have a sleeping space while on the road, traveling to visit her adult children in multiple states.  Priorities were adequate storage, a sleeping area that still allowed her to comfortably sit in the surface with her feet on the floor, and be able to save enough room to use floor space for a potential sink/counter to be added later. A cozy, safe, and comfortable home away from home was achieved within a mini budget by using creative design, and many reclaimed materials provided by the client.

"Erick, and Krystle Lopez of Studio Express van conversions in Fort Myers just completed a conversion on my tiny Nissan NV 200 cargo van. Erick and his wife are among the most professional (and nicest) people I have met. Due to my shoestring budget, I cherry–picked pieces of this build. Erick was so patient, flexible, and skilled in constructing these components, as well as in offering guidance in areas that I wasn’t sure about. He did a great job installing walls, building the expandable bed with storage compartments below (my favorite part!), creating a long storage bench behind the front seats and installing a Maxxair fan in the roof. Although I didn’t have the budget for a kitchen or plumbing, he completed a beautiful large bus rebuild with both of these things just prior to my little van. If you’re looking for quick, competent and professional work – this is the place!"
